"Castle of no Escape 2" is a new game following and expanding the setting of the first "Castle of no Escape" game, which is finished and can be downloaded for free
at itch.io.
Like the first game, it's a dungeon crawler about the mysterious castle "full of monsters and secrets in a quest to collect all the treasures" and "crush the main boss.". Unlike the first game, it's not turn-based, and should feel more like first Zelda, Binding of Isaac and such.
Currently under development, stay tuned for new beta builds.

ConE1 began at Ludum Dare of December 2014, while ConE2 was started in mid-summer 2015, for an absolutely unrelated gamedev jam
at some god-forsaken russian site of indie game developers, a social administrator of which I happen to be.
Today we're approaching (and slightly celebrating) an early beta release oddly numbered 1.50. What's the deal, you may ask. It's just that version 1.00 was an early prototype of what we have now, and I'd roughly approximate "version 1.00" as a 10% of a really finished project. Henceforth, I've decided that the final version should be 2.00, so 1.50 counts for, like, 60%. And that's the reason behind starting the devlog already with a message icon of whopping 60%. I'd wish we'd get to the 100% really soon, but that's obviously at least a several months away.
So what do we have already? Let's take a look!
A NES cart art
Some sort of a manual in beta-stage (english version too)
Fan-art I was surprised with
This joke
Fake NES cart with non-fake artwork and posters for the game that didn't actually earn it yet
Some non-digital artwork
Some non-digital artwork (2)
And the actual beta you can actually play. With actual bugs, that is.
Also be warned that the saturday when we've decided to participate in #screenshotsaturday, the site server has run out of memory! This game has some dark secrets you'll wish you'd never get to know...
