The game is finished. It is a narrative exploration game, or at least that's what seems to describe it best to me. Each playthrough should take under two minutes, but it has been designed to be played multiple times. It is not a gameplay-centric game. Play Viewpoints | game websitePlease, report any bugs, errors in the narrative script, or whichever suggestions you may have. Any feedback is welcome.
GAME IS DONE, AND IT IS A WINNERPLAY IT HERE, RIGHT IN YOUR BROWSERedit: Happy April Fool's!
I'm just making this thread so nobody thinks that I made my game entirely during the extension period. I've actually been working on it during the week, and it was going to be ready tonight, but since the deadline has been postponed, I guess I relaxed a bit, so it's not finished yet. Here are some screenshots in the meanwhile: It's a short flash game, focusing on narrative, and not gameplay. It's been inspired by Outrun (aesthetically) and Terry's Pathways (conceptually), also by point-and-click adventures (mechanically).

Not that there would be anything wrong with that

Is that a Sonic the Hedgehog rear-view mirror ornament I see? Looks interesting. Can't wait to see more.

Not that there would be anything wrong with that It was probably in a competition outside of TIGS, but I remember such shenanigans being frowned upon there. Maybe they're not, here.

OK, now the game is actually finished. What I posted before was just a comical modification of the actual game—just clearing it up for those of you who may have thought that it was my real competition entry. The real game is mostly serious in tone, just so you know. Play it here. Please, report any bugs, errors in the narrative script, or whichever suggestions you may have. Any feedback is welcome.

Just a question:
How many "viewpoints" are there?
I've only seen 3 so far.

Very cool experience, the mouse movement/interaction gives me feeling of much freedom, while the game in real is tiny. The mouse movement also adds to the cockpit theme of the game, the cockpit that's your head. Congratulations! Don't expand this game, but I would love to see a couple more of these experiences in other setting!
