Might as well start a topic now because I have much to learn.

Backstory:  I have a doctorate in music composition and I was trying to determine what to do with it so I thought "Hey, I should compose music for games.  I've done a few films and people seem to like what I do." So I applied for some positions and managed to get my first ever OST. https://mirrorforge.bandcamp.com/album/jumjup-ost It was for a mobile game and I **ahem** 'overstepped' my role as a composer and started offering feedback on the game mechanics as well as design elements for the game.  **oops**  So the client decided he wanted me to score his RPG that he was starting to work on but he also needed a story and art.  So who does he ask?   And who says yes?  =-/ 

TL;DR I talk too much and find myself taking on art duties as well as music.  Not sure if the art is such a wise thing to do haha. 

Pixel art n00b here.  I'll show some stuff as I 'complete' them  baha! 



I'm currently working on a house template for the first town but what I have is kind of embarrassing.  Maybe I'll have more to show next week.

I tried using the BB code and the image wasn't loading =-/  I'll go back and fix that now.  I hope the art gets progressively better but I also hope that I don't have to redraw all the assets as a result  =-/ 

And I should mention, I really hope the artwork turns out in a stylized way like the image posted above.  I just want those sort of oddities to arise because of careful planning and not because I don't know what I'm doing =-/
