Melee Spaceship is an 80s-arcade inspired co-op spaceship combat game with a unique twist; No shooting.
Melee Spaceship is a hardcore game with the unique mechanic where you dash through enemies to attack and flip to recharge your dash. With only one dash attack available before you flip, the goal is to force gameplay mastery instead of the typical button spam of traditional SHMUPS 



Intro:Welcome to the Melee Spaceship devlog. We are Orun and Mladen, the two man dev team on Melee Spaceship. We want to start this devlog so we have a place to be as transparent as possible during development and be able to get your feedback on our designs and ideas as they happen.
Melee Spaceship is written in Java using
LWJGL for rendering, sound and controller support. We plan to support Windows Mac and Linux at the least.
The Team:Mladen and Orun make up the
Melee Spaceship Team. Two dedicated indie devs building the games we love to play. Mladen covers all of the game art and music and Orun is the programmer. Our wonderful sound effects were provided by
