Small indie Tigris Games is hosting a GameDev chat group!

We had to start a Discord too, because our old Skype group chat limit is close to being maxed out.

Join our Discord server if Skype isn't your thing.

We're all just a bunch of friendly game devs, and quite a few regulars who like to share our gamedev work and encourage each other to make games

Who is this for? Most of us are pretty much indies who are into following aspects of game dev:

* C#, C++
* Unity and UE game development
* 3D modeling (blender, maya, zbrush)
* opengl/c++ programmers
* voice acting (actors and actresses)
* show us your Green Light game, and we'll think about yes-voting it.
* primarily, it's about game development, promoting and sharing your work, and experience.

What to expect?

* inspire gamedevs by showing your work or be inspired by others
* share your current creation, art, screenshots
* meet other dedicated indies, we're all here literally making games 24/7

Had an Unreal Engine developer join us earlier today, and a total of about 10 people joining during the past couple of days.

For the most part, we focus on sharing WIP work, because I noticed this is what inspires others the most, and keeps the chat fun.

We're really focusing on friendliness, and most members know what IDE everyone is using or if someone is getting a Wacom

Self-promotion is always welcome, as long as it's not too excessive.

Do you have some setting where every message is set to notify? I joined and unlike other groups I get notifications for every single post. It makes it extremely hard to work.

Yes, right click on the chat's tab and click Notification Settings. You can turn off alerts just for the channel, so you don't miss ones from your friends.

Discord is our primary server now. However, there are some old timers still in Skype because they actually prefer it. So we're running both at the same time, and you're welcome to stop by in either one!

For a period of time of about 1 month our Skype join link stopped working.

We've been kind of lazy about fixing it, but we've updated it and it works now. Anyone can join!
