Hey there Smiley

I had an idea for a game and i wanted to study games of that sort for reference.
I'm talking about "arena brawlers"..so platformers with a fix room where enemies appear at random places.
For example:

towerfall quest mode
mario bros. arcade
woah dave
bubble bobble
super crate box

I would be especially interested in games with fighting mechanics and how they are handled in small (maybe enclosed) spaces.
Are recommendations? Smiley

Don't listen to him, listen to me when I say Power Stone. That's the one you'll want to play when you're talking arena brawlers. The second one has more stuff in it but it does more than it needs to so stick with the first one because it's perfect the way it is. Anecdotally the five minutes that I played of the in-store demo at the turn of the century is what sold me on the Dreamcast. Boy that was some time ago. I mean, I didn't actually buy one of the things but I was totally sold.

Brawlhalla doesn't appear to have random enemies as the OP requests.

Yeah, maybe arena brawlers is the wrong term. I was talking about single player games where you fight enemies in preferrably static, arena - like rooms..like in the examples i mentioned.
Thx quantumpotato. That's what i was talking about. Didn't know shovel knight had a survival Mode.

That's one of the challenges opened after you clear the main campaign.
