there's a backlog.  derek posted about this before (checking out submissions takes a not inconsiderable deal of time).

(also, on the topic of self-submission, the rules are that for every game of your own you put up, you must submit four of other people's games.)

Wow that's a pretty crazy rule. All the independant games I know are probably allready up there.

I think the idea is that you shouldn't be submitting your own games, and that assuming it's a good game, someone else will submit it for you.
