You can't tell from the trailer, but at least I hope this thing has a plot.
Also, jokes aside, I think they are doing an interesting thing with teal & orange here: all the modern things are teal while the Spanish Inquisition things are orange. It's not unlike AC the game, but I bet whoever did the post-processing for the film must've felt really clever.

remember how revolutionary it was at the time to have computed animations or whatever and then they spent a century trying to apply it to sam fisher picking up chairs then gave up

no it really didn't. many of the most interesting features were either removed or dumbed down to the point where they barely even resembled the original intention. im thinking mainly of the free climbing and "social" stealth mechanics, both of which were promised to be very dynamic but actually ended up being mostly static, turning the game into basically a hunt for predefined map POIs. asscreed isn't a bad game, but it's just a competent open world game and that's it.

Anyway it didn't invent social stealth, hitman is more competent at it ... right? (not play hitman)

hitman is pretty good at it yes, but i was hoping asscreed would take it a step further, which it didn't. it's actually a step back. hitman doesn't do social stealth in every level tho from what i've played.
edit: actually one of the earliest examples of social stealth i can think of is mission impossible for the n64, namely the embassy level (which is also the best level in the game by far). i mean the social stealth is mostly just a dressed up fetch quest puzzle, but it's still cool. im willing to bet the hitman devs played that level more than once.

well, i was hoping for it to be more contextual/situational and less about predefined actions stealthy or unstealthy. also i would remove the "hack" that is hiding among groups of monks or watever it is in the later games.

So crowd as "tall grass" and potentially disturbance ie create chaos to impede pursuer or attract there attention elsewhere? controlling attitude to avoid raising suspicion? Ie more like the multiplayer game?
