seems pretty much perfect for digital board games.
EDIT: looking into them more, i think the reason why they failed is because it's only 3 cubes. that seems extremely limiting to me, and not in a good way. if it was something like 8 or 16 cubes, so you could form actual patterns or grids out of them, it would have had a lot of potential. i guess it was just financially unviable to have more than 3 in a package, esp considering it was marketed as a children's toy?
Great point.. I like the demos where you move the cubes to make a maze. Could be a cool "pick your own direction".
The lack of possible cubes limits choices for sure though. Maybe you could do the same thing with a bunch of touchscreen phones..
