i've never turned around so completely on a game in such a short time lol. also the fact that theyre streaming so much gameplay footage rather than showing cherrypicked "gameplay trailers" is a good sign. ofc that footage is probably cherrypicked too but still...
one thing tho: the outdoor areas seem to have performance issues. it's especially glaring in contrast to the shrine gameplay they showed. of course the game is still unfinished and probably not fully optimized yet, but there's only so much the wii u can do. i hope theres going to be a way to install the game data to the console's internal memory for faster asset streaming a la xenoblade [insert rant here on how backwards it is to still stream from disc in 2016].
also gimmy pls stop spamming gifs. its making the thread really slow to load on my phone.

According to Aonuma, you can encounter the Final Boss as soon as you want. If you can manage to beat them as soon as the very start of the game is unknown (considering the Master Sword would probably be needed) but it reminds me of Chrono Trigger and will definitely be interesting to see what Speedrunners do with that.

lol someone definitely played some dark souls btw i hope there actually isnt a master sword or equivalent in this game. they have this cool system set up around switching up weapons constantly and it would be a real shame if that just got thrown out the window at some point. Though that is probably how its gonna work. |
