yahtzee made games

also i know you don't like him but he has a private channel with hour long videos where he talks with a friend about a video game while playing it and other stuff. it shows that he has insight in design he just doesn't show it that much in his game reviews.

to reiterate, inafune is a producer (i.e. business guy) and occasional artist and writer (on mega man games lol). he has never designed a game. accordingly, he does not have a design credit on mighty number nine. inafune did not "create" mega man.

yes but mighty number nine is referred to in most reviews as "inafune's game" and most articles about the game before release made it seem like he is the lead developer, which he, a person who has never designed a game, wasn't.

Because people invest (emotionally and faithfully, not just financially) in symbols and ideals far more than they do in realities. They are investing into his name which has somehow become a symbol associated with Mega Man. The don't really know the reality, so they don't really care about it.
