Sadly, it's one of the main points of democracy. If majority wants it - it has to be done. Even if this majority is dumb.
I hope that Scotland will think again about necessity of its presence in UK.

Nothing like waking up and watching your country set itself on fire  Also it's not just a economic issue, the EU set paternity, work hours, anti corporation and food standard laws and knowing this government their are gonna try real hard to screw us over those too. |

You think there's no inherent value in sovereignty at all - a value that perhaps cannot be measured in money? It's all about the economy for you guys? People who think leaving the EU is a move for sovereignty are probably the same kind of people who honestly believed that Australia was in a "budget crisis" last election. Trust me, you don't need to be in a union to lose your sovereignty. Your corporate-owned politicians will sell it at their earliest convenience. |

When the "majority" is literally just a smidgen over 50% and the breakdown shows massive swings between regions and demographics, are the citizens really being represented in any meaningful way? |
