I'm Marc, a game dev working and living in Seoul for the past five years. I help organize the annual Busan Indie Connect Festival (
http://bicfest.org).
Submissions are open now and until
July 1st.
We're supported by government funding and that lets us put developers and their games first. All selected exhibitors will receive free accommodation in Busan during the fest. In addition to two public exhibition days, the first day will be a unique "developer's day" that gives developer's a chance to play each others' games in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. We think that meaningful networking can only happen once everyone is familiar with everyone's games!
BIC aims to provide an opportunity for indies to reach the large, but often inaccessible, markets in Korea and Asia. We'll have a strong Korean media presence, Korean publishers, and well-known Korean streamers in attendance.
And of course we think you'll have a great time. This year's venue is the stunning Busan Cinema Center (
http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/ATR/SI_EN_3_1_1_1.jsp?cid=1549716). It features a massive outdoor movie screen and naturally we plan to do lots of gaming on it! The fall weather in Busan is great and we won't be far from the beach!
