Thanks for the encouragement! It's my chance to learn some Python fast under pressure, because otherwise I'd be too lazy, most likely. I hope I get a game out of it, though, but I'll be setting the bar low.

Even if you don't know the language, I recommend having your audio/visual tools and zip/.exe packaging/distribution method figured out beforehand.

The final round of theme voting is now in progress :>

Vote over at the Ludum Dare blog. You'll need to sign in before voting, though.

I've voted, and I hope to either use Python/Pyglet, or Gamemaker.  I look forward to maybe completing a game.  Since it is such a short time, I hope I can stay committed long enough to finish something.

Less than 24 hours until the start! I just got up super early (5am) in order to be able to get up early tomorrow! Super exciting!

This sounds like awesome exciting fun. Maybe, if the theme tickles my fancy, I'll give it a try. I certainly won't have the stamina for a 48-hour hackathon, so if at all I'll try something simple to test the waters.

I have no ideas for this at all...darn.  The results will probably be interesting to play though.

Curious...
I read somewhere that game-making programs (like MMF, GM) aren't allowed... can anyone confirm this?

Game Maker is specifically in the list of examples of allowed stuff ( here: http://www.ludumdare.com/wiki/ld14:libs ) ... I assume MMF is allowed as well.

I hadn't kept up with the voting so the theme caught me a little off-guard, but I've got a neat idea that I hope I have time to complete...

Anyway, see you guys in 45 hours or so!

Meh, theme doesn't appeal to me at all. Guess I'll pass this time after all, unless some flash of inspiration does strike (highly unlikely). On the upside, I'll be able to get a couple more hours of sleep without feeling bad about it Hand Money Left Tiger Hand Money Right

Yes, people were talking about using other programs like Novashell too.

Just woke up, and thought I might post a screenshot from the version I had last night before I went to bed:

If I can get game maker running right on one of my computers, I may make a last minuet entry.
