The game looks very good, and the game name is also top notch. Looking forward to seeing your future updates.

Running Animation Draft

Ok, here is a version of the new running animation. Keep in mind that the colors are not a factor here- they are being determined later; leaning toward the brunette hair atm.

Recorded directly from Unity to save time, so excuse the quality / the starting pauses.

I prefer the third from last's hairstyle most, and much prefer the legs at an angle over the straight legs from some of them. Also, the shield switches hands when she turns.

Yeah it did change hands, lol. I guess I just wasn't concerned with that continuity when I was making the frame sketches. Fixed it in the animations, at any rate!

Attack Animation Draft

Here is the current version of the new attacks. I gave the attack a "swipe" to give it more character; the frames of the swipe have a forward movement to them without actually moving, that I think gives the thrust a sort of plunge of momentum. With the legs being slightly longer in this version of the character, I am able to better convey the shifting of weight that occurs over the course of the thrust.

Stabby Stabby Stabby Stabby!

Thanks! The color palette of that scene is probably going to be typical of a lot of the overworld, I am thinking.

Continuing work on Overworld tileset, color tweaking. I have been drawing different coastlines for ages (weeks) but this is probably the most appropriate one:

Made some changes, tweaked things around. I sort of like how violently fertile this one looks:

BTW, did you guys like the translucent background on the item box on top left? A bunch of people kept bugging me to do that, for some reason...

I like the translucent box, though maybe it could be (very) slightly darker just so the items pop a little more.

So you would prefer this? It is sort of a delicate balance; too dark, and it actually becomes less readable, since the dark edges all of the icons have would lose their contrast. Hard to say where the balance point is.

Yeah, I think that last pic has lost some contrast, the first translucent box is sexier imho  Smiley

Also, that water............that's some nice-looking H20!

Some subtle changes... harsher borders for cliffs, sharper corners, and a handful of other changes:

Ok, good deal more changes, if you can spot them.

I was pretty disatisfied with how this scene was reading, so I spent a lot of time changing and polishing the assets which were causing the dissonance / poor reading:
