Here's some random feedback:
- Grumpy's shop is a huge empty room. Seems unnecessary to be that big. You could safely cut it down by 3/4th.
- The speech SFX is a little... grating. I recognize it's a common thing in RPGs, but that SFX in particular is hard to listen to over and over.
- Some of your humor is pretty good. The caterpillar conversation was fun.
- You could hide those bottom left inventory slots when there's nothing in them or something. Right now they just take up space until you put stuff in them.
Thanks for the feedback, it helps a lot. I fixed everything you found wrong with it.
Great work so far. Everything looks very well done. Overall it has a cool feel to it. Can't tell much from the video other than you seem to be making some kind of flip-screen rpg game but I'm already looking forward to seeing the next update.
Oh... I really like the clean graphics. Not sure what your inspiration is for that aspect but the look sort of reminds me of a game or two on my ole Sega Master System.
Thank you!
Is it Monday or something, everyone seems to act like total jerks in the game. And that caterpillar had some oddly suspicious questions.
This could turn out into an interesting project. Keep us updated with so more info.
Indeed, they are jerks. And that caterpillar is suspicious, I prefer to stay away from him. Thanks! I will.
I like the humor in this. I've got two questions:
1) Is rump highlighted in Grumpy's for a reason (grumpy's)? it made me chuckle, kinda.
2) Is that a worm growing on caveboy's head?
Thanks
1) Yes, I thought it would be funny.
2) No, and yes. It's funny, because when you asked that it was only a weird hat. But after working on the game a bit more I decided it would be his worm pet/hat. Voila:
Thanks for the feedback, it means a lot, really.
Also,
there's a new gameplay video, so feel free to check it out.(in the main post)
