Somewhere on Tigsource there's a link to a Afterlife simulators, a bunch of games about teaching you how to leave your body and re-incarnate successfully on other planets. Please post if you know it!

It's an arcade game but I liked http://www.duetgame.com/ on Android & iOS. There's a story told through text & level naming as you play.

I've heard good things about http://playstarbound.com/

http://www.playdead.com/games/limbo/ is an excellent game, strong atmosphere.

http://www.monumentvalleygame.com/ explores Escher style impossible geometry
