We recently launched a new podcast focusing on some of the quirkier mainstream gaming stories, and also on the indie scene.

At Mode 7 Games, we've been working on our forthcoming title for AGES, so we thought we'd do something to enable us to emerge from our cave a little bit.  Please check out the show if you have time. Thanks!

I'm listening to episode 5. Some feedback:

--I really liked your discussion of the IGF.
--the intro music is nice, but it needs to be shorter, IMHO.

More to come.

Thanks for that!  Sorry you thought the intro was too long - I composed the music so I'm a tad precious about it.  Maybe we should cut it a little...

Yeah, overall: it's nice, I liked it. I liked your discussion of Bob's Game, EA dropping copy protection, and the pressures developers have to produce licensed products.

Other than trimming the intro music (which, again, is nice but simply goes on for too long), the only bit of criticism I have for you is regarding the name of the podcast. What does "visiting the village" signify? Is it supposed to be like adventurers coming back from the dungeon and talking to townspeople? It's a bit unclear.

I'm listening to episode 5 and liking it.  I like how it's more of a discussion/debate thing rather than just "here's what happened this week."

I like how you are British. Is that racist?

I'm also quite fond of the accent.

It's a dangerously intricate network of metatextual signification.

Thanks for the heads up on the intro music - I'll try and trim it down a bit.

Nope, we just talk like that to get girls.

Is that racist?

Liking British people can get you into all kinds of trouble.

Cheers for all the feedback so far - we're recording ep6 today - should be out tomorrow.  I'd really appreciate any suggestions of places I could post to promote the cast too...

Thanks Craig - glad you like the new intro.  We'll probably rework it in some way soon, but for now we'll just do this and keep things a bit shorter.

Anything you think we should cover in an upcoming show?

You guys seem pretty tuned in to what's going on in gaming. If I think of something you're missing, I'll let you know.

That's so prosaic.  How about "TIGsausages"?

That's truly unfortunate.  I apologise for any offence caused.
