Heyo Everyone! Haven't been on Tig in bit. The game is shaping up, though you wouldn't be able to tell by this thread lulz. Here's our first trailer.
See ya at GCD and PAX 18 (Booth No. 23093) Cheers!

The graphics look good, remember me of old adventure games like Day of the Tentacle. Drop me a note if you need an Italian proofreader!

So will this be a beat em up in the style of Final Fight, or Turtles in Time, where you just walk to the right and beat up whatever comes your way, or will there be options as to which way to go, backtracking, other places to explore, etc - like River City Ransom or the more recent-ish Scott Pilgrim game?

Heya, thanks for showing interest. Because of the nature of our story, it makes the most sense for the Italianeer to assume a linear style of gameplay. We'd consider a more open game mode upon completing the core game. Thanks! -FrogsMilk

And here's a sample clip of tunes for Luciano to bop and brawl to. Have a listen and let us know what you think. https://soundcloud.com/user-925763293/the-italianeer-soundtrack-sneak-peek-1Here's Luciano enjoying some floor artichoke. Eat your roughage. Here's our initial pass at enemy AI. Background is a work in progress. Donnie, a bully on the block has the AI to chase and attack Luciano. Thankfully hitboxes are off. *edit-typo

Are you guys doing the music yourselves? I was going to suggest, since there's such a heavy Italian influence, that you try to use some Italian Polkas, etc as source material. The opening track sort of evokes that!

Hey, We are composing and mixing all of our music in house. Our art designer is a broadcast music producer as well. We'll be squeezing in all sorts of polka/tarantella in the game! Thanks for weighing in! -Frogsmilk

Luciano had a little too much zest in his ziti to fully show off the new dash animation. He heard Materina's dinner bell.

Heya Guys! It's been a hot minute. But we're back for Screen Shot Saturday with an even hotter update. Fresh sets of sprites for our favorite Italianeer!Newer and more fluid cycles for Luciano. Lookin sharp Luc! Combat Update!Baddies telegraph attacks now. Luciano can read their movements and teach 'em how to brawl proper. Bob 'n weave, Luciano! Puttin' yer dukes up for family supper is important. Puttin' yer dukes up in the correct direction: Even more important.Look alive Luciano! Guarding is now directional! Get the advantage on an ambush! Time an dodge step through enemy attacks from behind.

Hello TigBoys n TigGals! Back to work after a nice weekend. Currently listening to Devin Townsend Project: Z2. We've got some snapshots of our new level designs to share. Luciano is on a urgent, time sensitive mission! So, Lurcher's Taxi service is out of the question. Luciano has a high threshold for Pane. Taco 'bout a craving for TexMex! Would appreciate feedback on the direction of level design. Thanks!

Regarding entering Taco & Co. There are going to be key venues and buildings you can enter. But Taco & Co. is going to be more of a enemy source/spawner. These enemy spawners would proc an audio cue (Door creak open/ Door chime) then, generate a combat ready baddie. Thanks for the compliments on the aesthetics!
