Heya TigPeeps,

Environment update!
A few neat details we're including to sell Luciano navigating in a 3D environment. Beer!

Now with bonking! Luciano can travel up stairs on the Z axis and bonk where non applicable.


Contextual curb hop! Note the hopping doesn't happen where the curb dips.


Obstacles! Note the Alpha on the car's glass. It's harder than you think to sell walking around objects on different layers. Screamy

The Italianeer — Now With Collectibles! Find 'em in the field or as enemy drops!

Zest is our currency system.

And such as in real-life, your health is based upon pizza consumption.


Luciano getting fancy with the faux Z axis.
Grabbing a collectible in the background is a little tricky with 2.5D


And last but not least a peek at some fierce level redesigns! Including new texturing techniques.

The depth you've got going on in the levels is really nice - I never would have expected to be able to walk down those stairs if I hadn't seen it in the gif. I think walking behind the car, etc, looks great!

Also been meaning to say how much I like the store names - "House of 'Pane'", etc.

Hello Tig Peeps! Well, hello there!
Long time, no post (again)
Animation Update fresh off the - wherever they come from!
Also Control/handling overhaul, Luciano handles as smooth as extra buttered noodles!

Luciano showing off some aerial attacks! Still adjusting the feel of it, but Luciano can take the skirmish to the sky!


Luciano skids to a stop when changing dash directions. Inertia is a property of matter!


And of course we didn't forget Luciano's ground based combat! A one-two Punch combo & a new triple kick that ends with his own style of tornado kick.

What is up TigPeeps!?
Haven't posted this year yet, so here we go!

Smells like New Level... Or is that the aroma of glorious inner-city infrastructure?
Behold the FrogsMilk rendering of 198X's NY sewers.


Sewer water inhibits Lucaino's jump and makes dashing impossible.
Best stay dry down here... for more than one reason.
Stay tuned.

Note the quasi-dynamic lighting. Very Happy with that.

And one last thing to mention...
FrogsMilk is goin to Pax East 2017!!


The FrogsMilk Crew is taking a road trip to Boston and exhibiting at PAX East 2017!
We were gonna share once we got our booth number, but that's still being sorted Durr...?
We'll film as much as we can and try to share what we learn here.

Thank you! We've been using Aseprite, drawing each frame of the animation. It takes a long time but we like the look/feel of it.
