Or you know, you don't have permanent internet connection where you live ... or you want to retain your game in the future without having to acess the cloud. Where is your P.T. god now? Also not all gamers are shut in that don't share game around with their friend.

You're going to have to be more specific.

Digital distribution is the future, I am willing to acknowledge this. I am always going to want physical copies because I am old-fashioned and like to have shelves full of games that I can look over and alphabetize. I probably would have ended up as some sort of librarian or curator if I hadn't learned how to program. I find something very soothing about putting shelves of items in proper order.
Digital distribution offers enough advantages that I am convinced it will become the norm as advances in technology continue to vault over the few hurdles standing in its way. For smaller indie games it already is the norm. Most of those come out digitally first, and often exclusively. Some only get physical releases as a limited-run prestige move long after they've made most of their money. This is the way things will eventually go. Most games will be digital, and only a few games will get limited physical runs for the crazy collectors like me. There's just no longer a need for physical releases for games. It's just a matter of weaning the consumers off of a long-standing habit.

Because a global electronic material platform that support internet isn't consumming any power and don't put stress on the planet ever ... Sunk cost fallacy has a word for my 300 steams game too, I haven't played most of them, irrelevant

Apparently the Switch version's gonna have co-op, which is cool. $30 (maybe?) is high, but if they added enough stuff, it'd be worth it, to me. They probably won't, though. EDIT: I wonder if the original CS+ on Steam would get the co-op version backported for free or not.

I donated $10 towards buying pixel a DS with cave story characters laser etched on it for his birthday way before '+' was a thing so you're technically incorrect

You're going to have to be more specific. If you have a snes cartridge you cannot easily clone and share it. Also imagine your snes cartridge breaks, then that's it, your game is lost since you only have one instance of it. It is easier to keep games alive on pc, you can keep multiple copies and refresh them whenever you want. it's called a sunk cost fallacy
plastic and transportation is bad for the environment and ur all gluttonous twats
Because a global electronic material platform that support internet isn't consumming any power and don't put stress on the planet ever ... You are using this platform for shitposts anyway.

gonna go out on a limb here but I'm 100% sure downloading 30k copies of a game consumes less fossil energy than producing 30k carts or discs and shipping them from china and distributing them to stores

You would go out on a limb if the sole purpose of the internet would be digital game distribution. Fact is, internet's infrastructure is constantly maintained, regardless what you intend to use it for.
