Hey fellow indies! For those of you in or around DC or Baltimore looking for another avenue to showcase what you're working on and/or get feedback on your projects, we at IGDA DC thought it would be a cool idea to put on a new indie game expo with the express purpose of generating exposure for unknown and rising local indie talent. To that end, we came up with...
The District Arcade is a free video game expo, organized by local video game developers! If you're 18 years old or older, come see the newest, most experimental games from the greater DMV community. Experience steampunk fantasy shoot 'em ups, abstract homages to art history, and intergalactic zoology.
The team from
MAGFest are bringing console games as well, all free for you to play! Melanie, leader of
IGDA DC, challenges any takers to Adventure on the Atari 2600.
Our venue,
Bravo! Bravo! is providing their luxurious space to the District Arcade. There will be two 15 foot screens and 4 even larger couches. Indie devs: you can have your game played on the big screens too! Contact us for details.
The rest of the space will have more indie games, MAGFest Arcade games, and a large dance floor/stage area where more games will be played! Bravo! Bravo! has a special menu and a full bar, so bring your friends and network with cool local game creators. Hit the link for more details!
