I don't understand all the hatred towards Phil Fish. I can understand some criticism but the tide of filth coming his way seems overkill in my opinion.

phil fish deserves the praise no less for being in the spotlight, plus he's worked on way more than just One Big Thing, regardless of if you think that one big thing is overrated.

also he's not "pioneering" but it's pretty indisputable that if you look at his work as a whole it's got a clear, cogent, singular aesthetic that's easily identifiable. that carries on from fez to super hypercube and onwards into his older stuff and graphic design work
