I just started my blog a few days ago. The first couple of posts were game reviews, but I decided it was time to do a tutorial. I thought I'd start with some of the quick-and-dirty techniques I've found for creating textures in PS to be used in the background/less important areas of digital-painting style illustrations.

I'm not going to announce every single tutorial I post, of course, but since this is the first, I thought I'd try to attract some attention, hopefully get some RSS subscribers and some useful feedback! Some of the more puritanical artists may object to the techniques I'm presenting, but as I say at the beginning of the post, when you're working for people on a tight budget, you need to know the best ways to cut corners.
