I doubt that this phenomenon exists. Even if it does it’s definitely not caused by anthropocentric factors, a declining signal to noise ratio is part of the natural progression of forum threads. I for one won’t be suckered into changing my posting habits no matter how rock hard to evidence is.

Hm. A pikmin with Mario Galaxy gravity would be pretty awesome, even if that kind of thing is pretty cliche now.
Wouldn't really make sense in the context of Pikmin's story, though... |

What's wrong with the Zelda game they already announced? I loved PH, and if this is as good as (or better) than it (and especially if it's a direct sequel), I'll love it even more.  I much prefer the more lighthearted Zelda games; they capture the spirit of the series a lot better. ...That said, however: Yes, something interesting impossibly far into the future would be preferable to something lame that's coming out soon. But judging by Nintendo's track record the last couple of years, I wouldn't count on it. |

Just thought I should mention that Pikmin is an incredibly racist game. I picked up Pickmin Wii a little while ago, and while it's an awesome game, it's totally racist.
So the Pickmin are on their planet, minding their own business and living their lives, and then THE WHITE MAN (here called "Captain Olimar") shows up, and do you know what the first thing he does is? HE PUTS THEM TO WORK AND ORDERS THEM AROUND!!! :D
I probably should mention that I am in fact white. And a friend of mine suggested that from now on all racist white red-necks should be called "Olimars," which I thought was pretty brilliant.
