Oh man, I really like the idea of the worlds expanding during gameplay. I'm hyped.
That's a big part of what made me love Soul Blazer and Dark Cloud. I'm definitely doing this one.

Great game! Needs just a little more in place to make sure that the goliaths have to take risks. Seems like the guys who never divide tend to win. I go full predator after finding sheltering places and end up in the top, but I rarely divide more than one time, that's the treshhold. When I am on top and feel bored I take some risks for the thrill of it so that others have a chance. good game idea btw, but it deserves a better implementation than this

honestly, i held the banjo games in low regard for years thanks to internet anti-"collectathon" propaganda. then i replayed banjo tooie last year (as documented in that thread in Games) and remembered that they actually rule.

nostalgia and downright starvation!
I Mean it's like saying people bought gta5 and call of duty black ops 2 by nostalgia ...
This rhetorics is too easy to land when over genre strive with imply people wanting more of teh same.

look at what you've done, grimdark sepia tone shooters. Give it 20 years and grimdark sepia tone shooters will be the holy grail of nostalgia. I only hope what they get replaced by in the meantime isn't somehow worse.

They've already been replaced IMO, I haven't bought a call of duty game in like 6 years, I don't know anyone who's still into them

I can totally see a future in which fps shooters become more and more complicated as time goes by and more and more people get into shooters. Then when everything is a ripoff of ARMA, people will long for the casual hitboxes and movement of COD.

Oh cmon, Call of Duty is harmless compared to certain roguelike-like with knightman fighting sceletons near bonfire. Lets see how long it takes for people to be fed up by hardcore permadeath dungeon games.

Yeah it's a big problem with oversaturation which usually turns people off to genres entirely. I'll never not like the genre though, but when too many people try to make a game like Insert Inspirational Game Here without thinking about what actually made that game good, the worst of any genre is slowly brought on full display.
