the probleme is that a lot of those projects seems to be doable by a team of 2 or 3 person.
Wich is a minimum of 166k per person.
minus taxes and everything. 100k ain't nothing

Right, 100k can last me at least 4 years if I'm being generous. It's completely unnecessary. I get that you want to blow half of it on marketing, but really, that's not what you should use your fundraiser for.

ETS2 is an awesome game, but the framerate is utter trash, even on extremely low settings. Like, 60 FPS overhead and menus is fine, when driving it's 30, and in cities, it drops to 15. Also, this is the greatest Twitter account ever and it's not mine! https://twitter.com/bobrossgamedev |

Uh yeah never mind that "that's not what you should use your fundraiser for" sentence. I have absolutely no authority on the subject and yes marketing is important. I think I lost my train of thought there.
Still, just because I have never done a fundraiser doesn't mean that I don't have an opinion on it. I just find it slightly saddening that these independent (and even non-independent) studios are so eager to make these AAA-polished games while completely relying on fundraisers. To me that's not what you should use fundraising for. Fundraising should be your bare minimum.

The truth about game budget is that they are worth more their actual cost to produce, which lead to widespread abuse of crush and employee's well being and why the turn over rate of the industry is so high, it's also why you only need 5 years to become a senior which is unheard in any other tech industry sector and maybe any other industry period.
