probably gonna help their equivalents everywhere
apparently such effect aren't aren't "permanent" though; public sentiment swings back to a previous equilibrium relatively quickly (I'll try to dig up sources tomorrow, gotta sleep)

it'll start a cascade of awful shit. france closing borders alone will probably make the refugee crisis worse. they're trying to destabilize the EU even furhter.

EDIT: oops theyre actually closing borders, just reintroducing border controls.

also i think its very unlikely the terrorists came to france as refugees. if you look at previous islamist terrorist attacks in the west, pretty much all of these people had either lived in the west for a long time or were even born here (the charlie hebdo shooters for instance).

also who wants to bet this is going to be used to lobby for more surveillance?

even tho it really just proves that mass surveillance, aside from being morally abhorrent, is completely ineffective at countering terrorism. remember, france is one of the few EU countries that still has data retention laws.

Wondering why they didn't get into the Stade and had to do stuff in the parking lot.
Hoping it was because of security. Glad they didn't get into the mass of people in the Stade either way. Dunno how many people were at the game, but I imagine it could've been far worse than the attack on the Americans in 2001.

a few years ago, i had an interesting discussion with a guy who arrested prior for drug dealing and since he had no paper was then sent to the retention center. It was an ordinary of people on those case who'd never tell their identity and country (in order to win enough time and getting released after a certain time due to law).
He was muslim , an extremist case, and i asked how he could sell drugs , causing harm to people while he's praying everyday and following all the rules of islam, and he said that he doesn't sell drugs to real muslims and he's just doing good cause by selling drugs to the pigs. It was a funny case as he was criticizing other muslims in the retention center for being fake muslims.

Btw, one of the paris attackers has been identified and sure enough, he was a french citizen. People linking this with refugees for populist reasons can go fuck themselves.

French citizen with northern africa origins?

It's a delicate case, because one of the problem with France is that there is no pride in being French.

I don't know how people imagine Paris, but spend some time there avoiding the touristic locations, and sometime you'll feel like walking in the streets of Marrakech.

And about country borders, i'm a non white person, and i've traveled by road between Germany Brussels France regularely for business reasons and in a span of 4 years i've never been controlled once.

No i meant some right wingers were already claiming the terrorists came with the current refugee wave (which i consider to be highly unlikely) before we even knew anything.

renforcement of anti-Arms trafficking.
Since Sarkozy, fight against drugs was top priority.they should have thought about weapons too.

Yeah , open borders with the EU means relatively easy smuggling.

How to fight isis on their own turf, send women only squads so they fear to not go into heaven, broadcast relevant Qur'an passage everywhere to weaken the extremist message.
