Working title.

Aircraft are good to go thanks to my cockpit compo engine (sans AI and flight model!), just need to put together terrain for a fun minimal release.

I made some terrain I kinda like:

Unfortunately, it's not procedurally generated. I still need to make the sea be a proper sea (flat) and make the terrain collidable, as well as add the ability to place structures on the ground. Then, after implementing some very dumb AI for flak turrets, I could make the game "playable" insofar as air strikes are concerned.

Heh, thanks.

Another screenshot:

As you can see, I like to implement a lot of unimportant features to keep my mind off of implementing the actually important ones. Namely:

Bombs!
Flyby camera
Team colors
New airplane: A-2 Basilisk, single-engine light ground attack. It will replace the single-engine plane with the really wide wings and wingtip fins because I thought that model was kinda lame.

Also I've got to put some sort of backing on the interface elements and trim it all down so it doesn't hog so much of the screen.

Bombs now actually explode, and there are hangars to destroy. The funny shading probably has something to do with the terrain is rendered, I'll either tone down the attenuation a whole lot or just remove the lighting in lieu of pretty particle effects.

I'm probably going to have to put this on the back-burner for a few weeks to a month to complete some other projects.
