My first impressions are good. The amount of controls at my disposal almost feels kind of overwhelming, but I feel like the point of a game like this is to give it enough time that it all feels quite natural.

The graphic for Dodger Max is cute but I think the backgrounds could stand to be a lot prettier - are there going to be many more obstacles? The 3D quotient looks great, but will there be extra abilities to compensate for what's lost from 2D?

Keyboard layout is unconventional and the only controller I had (Dualshock 4) had a weird button layout.  So I only played with keyboard, which is probably not the way to play it.  So I can't offer much feedback in terms of controls.  My thoughts as I played:

- Acceleration in the air seems too low, it's hard to control.
- There's a surprising variety of moves here.  I especially like how the sword down move also boosts jump height a bit.
- There's a weird glitch where you can grab onto stuff while on the grappling hook.

With the current presentation I don't see anyone buying this, but the depth was nice and it seemed to control well despite how I played.
