Alright, so out of nowhere my FireFTP stopped working properly. For some reason, anything I upload with it is corrupt... like PNG or JPEG files won't display, EXE files won't execute, and ZIP files won't unzip. I had to switch to FileZilla, which works fine, but I miss my FireFTP and want it made better!

Any idea how I could fix this? I might have to just email for tech support or something if nobody here has a quick fix.

I tried re-installing it, but to no avail. One thing I noticed, though, is that when I re-install it, it still has all the settings saved from before, so whatever is causing the problem might be caused by something it has stored in the registry (or wherever Firefox add-ons save their information). Is there some way I can clear this information compeletely, so when I re-install it, I do so from scratch?

I don't know if that'll fix my problem, but I'm willing to give it a try.

Thanks in advance <3

Is it transferring binaries in text mode for some reason?

Somewhere in the setting, although I can't exactly say where, should be an option where you can switch between files to be transferred in ASCII Mode, Binary Mode or (likely) Automatic Mode. In Automatic the client should then (normally correctly) decide what mode to upload what file in.

Your problem sounds like that setting has been tinkered with.

That, sir, seems to have fixed my problems!

A great big fuzzy hug for you, my good man! Tears of Joy
