This is probably too early, and perhaps the wrong place, but in light of the Prom thread...

Do you guys know that there's a whole forum which basically poops great game mock-up graphics every week (or almost every day)?

I'm not sponsored or anything, but I suggest that if you're a developer, you check out the following URL:

http://www.pixel-arts.org/pixelation/index.php

(Note that some board members are pros and probably won't have much time, and others might expect pay, since there's an employment subforum, but many do seem to post graphics as a hobby.)

Yeah, a number of us were involved in the Pixelation community over the years, as members, moderators, and such.  I actually used to work with the founder (Jeff/Tsugumo), before I started my own company.  Mad props to Pep for keeping it alive.

Is that the same "Pixelation" that's been around for ages?

I think my great grandfather arrived at Ellis Island with that forum.  :D

Great stuff on there, though.  Smiley

I've always wanted to recruit a band of merry-making sprite artists from those forums, and then kick out a bunch of gorgeous games.

In reality, all that would probably happen is that we'd wander down to the States and drunkenly burn down the White House.

Pretty much. Pixelation moved, went poof... and that's the reincarnation... basically.

Ptoing!  Hi! Grin

And yes, Pixelation is wonderful.  Would be nice to collaborate with it somehow, just not sure how.  Maybe just having a link from one forum to the other is enough. Tongue

Well, if there is enough mutual awareness I am sure new friendships and thus collaborate efforts will spawn over time.
