Er, people keep referencing a thread as "here" but there's no link.

Anywhere we can see the leaked users list?

Following this hack, my twitter account (that I never use) was hacked into.

It already had a different password than what I had been using here.
Coincidentally, the twitter account password was what I changed my forum's account to.
It could be unrelated, but it seems too close for coincidence. I'd rather suspect we're still 'having issues'.

don't use the same password for multiple websites if you don't want to get hacked.

The more I think about it, the more I think it may just be me. And not a hack at all, just some forgetfulness and user stupidity.

Anyway, I don't use the same password for all sites, just an array of go-to ones I use for sites I consider at low levels of necessary security. Nobody can do much with my twat or tigs accounts. Smiley

Ok, so in light of this what would be a good password managing program?

I like 1Password.  It's kind of surprising how many unique logins you end up with once you start doing one per site.  (I have 85 in there, and I don't feel like I'm *that* active on the Internet).

I've always wanted to use a password manager, it would make things far more secure and simpler, but the only real thing that has led me to refrain using one all these years is, it seems like it would be too easy to be locked out of an account in weird circumstances. What if I use a computer at school where I don't have my password manager, or my ipod touch 4g with an old piece of shit safari build that has no extension support? See what I mean?

do [u r l]

[/ u r l] notice - NOT you.tube and NOT any &feature=youtube . Must be plain vanilla youtube link. After uploading, open the you.tube link, browser redircets to youtube.com, remove the &feature= stuff, then paste that between a [ u r l ]
