Hi guys! We love receiving feedback about Afterglow 20.51, so first of all let's answer them!
I love these aesthetics! normally in conventional low-poly games (this seems to be like low-poly hehe I could be wrong) everything looks polished and clean... not here, the rough paper-like textures gives realism and uniqueness, loving it! keep that way man
You're right! We wanted to make a low-poly game (as much as possible with our knowledge) without leaving aside an interesting and striking aesthetic. We're really thanful about your comment! :D
I love the visual style too, it's a great way to make simple models appear amazing. When I first saw the image, I instantly though about the movie "Source Code", probably because you seem to be locked up in a train and with amnesia. And it's a powerfull feeling for a game to have, prety clostrophobic and anxiety inducing. Is it the kind of feeling you are looking for?
Yes, it is. We try to convey a sense of bewilderment and loneliness that makes the player feel the need to investigate what happens on that train. That's why we made the characters without facial features and a "fragile" environment. We hope that you enjoyed what you have seen and follow our progress, we're really grateful for your words!
Woooooah the latest GIF is incredible!
I always love when early development screenshots come to life in motion
Thanks! We hope that as soon as possible we could show more new pics and gisf about Afterglow 20.51. So , we're waiting for more of your comments!
This time we want to show you our last character -totally finished- for our game.
This is Alma and all those colors reveal what she really is. The new lighting that we have created also gives to her a great look. Beautiful, isn't it? We hope we can show you how she moves through our paper train very soon.
