Hello everyone I want to give the idea that the river in my city is flowing but I am having an hard time to figure how.

Do you have any idea?

How are you drawing the river? From the shape it looks like you are using a curve to create it. Could you use the same curve, but thinner. Then use only segments of it animated on and off? The player is likely to assume the water is flowing from the dam, so it should appear to them like the water is moving away from it.

Flow fields are usually done in this way with vertex colors.
