All the planets in the system have suddenly decided that the galaxy isn’t big enough for all of them! You’re not sure who launched the first missile and it doesn’t really matter! You’ve got nothing to do with it… you are just… the satellite repairman! Looking for a 2D Artist
This is the first time I’m looking for a [paid] 2D artist to help me out with the graphics. If you want to apply, please get in touch by email!
More than just paying someone to do my a few sprites, I’m looking for a person who would like to “join” the game crew (currently just me), and be proactive in suggesting changes, styles and – who knows – even features.
Feel free to contact me for any questions!
Edit: applications closed

I can now get GPS lock as soon as I have 2 satellites in range :D (also, docking to a satellite makes it easier to catch a ride in space )

It'd be nice to find out what the game is actually about. I thought your TIG name looked familiar and realized after seeing "A Game of Changes" at the end of one of the videos. You could link that devlog and the Steam page in your signature for extra visibility. Also, since didn't mention your email in your post above, you could mention that it can be found on your profile page.

Broken satellites can also bring down other satellites in case they collide

Finally introducing the real threats: missiles! In this demo, it hits a satellite directly(rare), which causes it to be immediately destroyed and crash

If the background color is the only difference, I like them all - for variety reasons. Whether the repairman is on Earth or other planet, it'd be nice to see different times of the the day with different sky colors. This could be based on level or if you have continuous gameplay then the sky could change color gradually.

Phew, back to working on the game after a few days of other random stuff that got in the way. I can now pick up modules from boxes and install them in satellites Hopefully by the end of this week I should have some better art to make things look more attractive

I'm currently trying to decide what's the best way to deal with manufacturing new modules/satellites. One option was to have factories randomly produce things, you go there to pick it up and use. A variant of this was to increase priority of certain items, but you still wouldn't have full control of what comes out. Second option, you can queue modules for the factories to produce, but I'm afraid this might turn the game into a lot of production management. maybe I still need to think a bit more about it... ps, here's a factory under heavy production

And these are the 3 satellite types. I hope that this next week I'll start integrating the art in the real game

The satellite physics of dropping from the sky are very wrong. That can be okay if done on purpose. Just figured I'd mention.
Looks like this could be a fun game.
