Hi!
I am looking for some feedback on my current game project. This is the game about craft and survival. Yes, I know that it looks like another one minecraft clone. But I am just going to build my own pixel world with blackjack... with my own rules and creatures.

Current process:
-World generator.
-Over 60 block types.
-150 items.
-70 craft recipes.
-7 creatures.
-Day/night cycle.
-Hunting/fishing/farming

To Do:
-Trading and interaction with the wild tribe.
-Game tasks and the end game targets.
-More creatures, craft recipes, items and blocks.

The last few days I spent adding new blocks and creatures. Now there is a wild tribe in the island and the player can trade with them. Also I tried to improve the lighting system. Here is night/day comparison.

Although survival games have been done to death at this point, this looks like it might still be able to stand out from the crowd. I like the tile-based movement and the graphics are really pretty already. The perspective might cause you some issues, as at the point where you were mining coal in the video it was impossible to tell whether the blocks which had their front face covered contained anything, and I could see issues with the smaller animals being difficult to spot when they're behind something. But with some tweaks I could see those obstacles being overcome.

I'll be following with interest and would be happy to playtest. Smiley

I agree the graphics are pretty stunning as far as 2D games go.

Although survival and world building games are very popular, this has awesome potential from the art style alone.

Looking forward to updates!

Nice to hear positive reviews. Thank you!

I'm trying to improve the game menu. A rather simple, but tasteful, I think. Also I added in-game player's objectives and I made a new fence construction system.

Hey! Really like the concept! And the gameplay looks really nice!

Just about music (as it is the field I can advice better), I don't know if it's the final one, but 2 things:

- The track is too short for me, so if you are going to spend some time playing, it would be nice to have a longer loopable track, so it doesn't get repetitive.

- Try not to use that low notes with the bass. Take in mind that the game is going to be played in a mobile (apart from PC), so the player is not going to use headphones (or at least in general). Mobiles cannot reproduce that low notes very well, so they are not even going to be heard sometimes. Try to change that low notes for some higher or a different style. (Just an advice from my own experience).

Good luck, and I will keep and eye on this!  Grin

Music added hastily. I still do not pay attention to the sound. But thanks for the advice!

New protagonist design. Now he (and other creatures) consists of several sprites to be able to change its appearance.
