OK, so the point of this challenge was to create a Theme and Variations based on a theme, which was a piece I wrote for string and piano.  (The version in the recording features a viola)  Reference the original here: https://soundcloud.com/paul-levasseur-2/the-white-princess

The idea of a theme and variations is to have some form of the original melody which then is subsequently manipulated by the composer in a number of ways.  I want you to decide both 1) Which piece do you like the best and 2) Who adhered best to the form.  Your vote should be cast by considering both factors.

I'm a bit disappointed with the turnout (there was a lot of attrition), but congrats to Barendhoff anyhow.

Thanks! To be honest, I was hoping for (and expecting) more submissions, too. I'll post a new challenge on December 1st, let's see if we can get more people to join in! December's an awfully busy month, so I'll keep the entry bar low.
