Hello!  First, thanks for giving some of your time to help another indie dev with their project!  Second, here is my game:

RogueTap - http://www.babagazeus.com/games/roguetap

It is an attempt to combine realtime 2D arpg battles with roguelike (e.g. permadeath, high difficulty, procedural generation) elements.  I would like any feedback possible; however, I think the following are most important at this stage:

  • Do you like the base game idea fun?
  • Is my implementation of the idea fun?
  • What would you add (or remove) to make it more fun?
  • What changes need to be made to take the game from "beta of an indie game" to a game someone would enjoy as a finished project?

I have had trouble answering those big questions, so I think they are the most important.  Of course, if you find any bugs I would like to hear about them (I know there are many).

Here are the links to d/l the windows and android versions: http://www.babagazeus.com/games/roguetap#GetIt

Finally reached defeated the boss on the last floor using the Aged.
Game was fun and love the battle mechanism Wink.
Also love the tutorial that makes sure player get what the instruction means.
Love also how I must use my strategy skill when facing enemies with different entities and formation.

List of glitches/bugs I found when playing the game:
  • There was a bug after the floor with slime boss. The mushrooms couldn't be eaten and the fish pond couldn't be fished (there were no menus to eat/fish them), making me hardly get any food. However, I couldn't die from hunger with that.
  • Enemies seems can't attack or return after being offscreen, but still alive.
  • Mushroom/Fishing menu didn't disappear when suddenly encountering enemies.

Some suggestions:
  • Button help (especially in tutorial, which didn't mention what button of Skill button was. Could try to make it like this: "Skill button (Q or E key)")
  • Picking up the mushroom (Well, we have that harvest menu)
  • How to reel fish instruction (Did trial and error how to do it)
  • Option to turn off tutorial ingame that has been shown
  • Maybe some improvement for Aged's Firestorm spell, like maybe higher range explosion or spreading fire instead. I often hit single enemy with that instead of multiple, which made me prefer to use the normal fireball which was much faster to reuse.
  • A way to pause the game (not the one with menu to check inventory/skills/journal/other stuffs), had to do something else important when playing the game.
  • Opening locked door using space key

That's so far for now. Good luck with your next update of the game Wink.
