The project's still in its infancy TBH, but the game will have multiple endings, and the premise itself will get deconstructed and be open for interpretation. As I said, there'll be minimalism, but not "simple box graphics" minimalism; rather think Ico & SOTC (minus the epic-ness of the latter, though), but 2D. Other influences include the Stanley Parable and a few others if that says anything.

It's kind of hard for me to describe this in just 88 characters without spoiling too much or sounding like I'm trying too hard, so I was (probably falsely) hoping that the vagueness of the premise would hint at something under the surface.

I'll try to think of something better.

I have trouble pitching my game because it doesn't fall into any neat category, so any help would be greatly appreciated. The most common comparisons other people make are Hitman and Minecraft, but I'm aiming for something very different to either of those. Essentially it's a experimental narrative game, though I'm working hard to make it as entertaining as either of the above games.

I wrote about my player-driven dynamic narrative system three years ago (just before I binned the previous version and started again, for reasons). The core game is well on the way, and work on the narrative systems has started.

If “&” is valid, then we’re good with or without title. [NAME] is a placeholder for a 6-character name. This was hard but constructive; it’s almost forcing me to make sure the game focus is pared down a little!

If anyone reading this thread is wondering whether to try it, do.

[edit] also the usefulness of this 'pitch' professionally is more on the design front at this point, as this thing, at least in present form, is definitively in the 'freeware' camp.
