Interesting art style.  The color scheme reminds me a little of "Tomba!".

Let me guess...

Asterix + Don Quichote + WoW gnome = Ximista the Warrior?

I spent a lot of time optimizing the code for my game and I must admit that I had a little trouble with the Unity collider system 3D.
I have also rebuild the damage system and I had a lot of problems on the management layers. In short all that you say that here is an alpha 2 fairly optimized and works well with small configs.
So give your opinion in the comments and if you see bugs. For now, only the first 4 levels are playable but I expected 30 (yes I am crazy).

Reminder:

Q left
D right
Space to jump
N to strike.

It's a good start but it needs a lot more work.
Texture are sometimes blurry, and overall lack character.
Level design is a bit barebone sometimes (like the room with the 3 levers).
Worst part is the floaty jumping that makes the platform jumping room VERY penible. I almost quit, leftmost platform doesn't go low enough and all platforms are too slow=boring.
Good luck for the rest.

I hit a door and then-> black screen with music. Is this normal? I figured it was the end of demo.

Hello all.
Here is my alpha test 3, always to this url : http://www.spotnik-tv.com/web/WebXim.html
Right click to fullscreen.
A lot of optimisation in the code, procedural levels, different gameplay.

Attacking and jumping is real smooth.  When you jump up into a platform or the ceiling though, you get stuck to it and float there until the duration of your jump is over, at which point you fall down like normal.  On a similar note, I somehow got stuck to the left wall in the room with all the jump pads.  I became unstuck as soon as I hit the floor.

It isn't too obvious that you need a key to break through the brown ground.  I found out by accident.  Maybe put a lock on them?

I like how you can use the jump pads by just moving on top of them.  I hate it when I have to time a jump to get the most height out of a jump pad.  Your version of the Mario Thwomp is clever as well, and it fits within the theme of the game.

It was cool, visually, that the falling roof made use of physics.  Not particularly useful gameplay wise in that situation, but I could see it becoming important in later levels.  I am not sure if there were supposed to be levels after that one, but I am only getting a black level where my character appears to be continuously falling.
