Hey guys, I've just released my game in open alpha on android (iphone is a bit too complicated for me right now)
I was hopping I could get some feedbacks from you =D
Dasher is a simple platformer inspired by game such as Super meat boy and Celest.
It should be challenging and precise.
My goal for this alpha round is to detect any game breaking bug (like crash or save corruption).

Note that at this time, the game is %100 free with no ads.

PS : here is a link to the devlog if you're interested

Hi Anton,

Your game seems cool but need somes improves Wink

- Back button don't work,
- After start level I can only start level again or resume. There is no way to go to menu,
- Level 1-4 is too hard for me. I give up:(,
- You have two buttons with 'home' text on it (in Stats and Credits screen). They are different in size,
- Button in top part of Levels screen have no text on it

Good luck Anton:)

All the best

Ah thanks for the feed back
It seems that I need to improve some of the UI I guess ^^
Could you tell me your phones model ? I think some of the bugs you mentioned are linked to its screen resolution

Hey!
Tested on Oneplus One and UI is ok.
I like your game! Very interesting idea.
What I don't like is I can't stop: in difficult levels it can be frustrating when you lose the timing for a jump and you have to redo a difficult part again.
Have you thought about adding a "keep finger on screen" action to stop? Maybe it could be a chargeable action, like dash.
You could trigger it when the player keeps the finger on screen more than 300ms for example.
Anyway, nice job!

thanks for the feedback =)

Not being able to stop is a complaint I get a lot with Dasher.
However I wasn't able to find a control scheme that satisfied me.

Basically having to hold down would mean a possible confusion between the jump and the stop. As of now, the character jump as soon as the player touch the screen. This is to give a feeling of responsiveness.
An other option was that dashing down would stop the player
But I don't find the solution pretty (one input -> multiple behaviors == bad in my mind).

Right now my answer is :
The level should be completable without stoping.
Not beeing able to stop or turn back is part of the difficulty.

I keep the levels short (right now, every level can be finnished under 20sec).
This mean that if you die at the end of a level, you are never far from the point of failure.

Dasher is a hard game by design. To finish it, players should have to master it.

(I hope my broken english was understandable ^^)
