Hi all,

I have what I believe to be a neat idea for a game (2d platformer, combat-centric, SoulsTroidVania, unique mechanics twist) and have started playing around with unity, but I think I'm spreading myself too thin and should probably just focus on art / animation.

For now, this is very much a hobby project, as I have a solid full time+ job in not-gamedev.  I'm looking for someone who's willing to play around and try to make something fun, and if the project starts to develop momentum and look like a Game (with a "G"), shift into a rev-share model and try to attract some more talent.  Alternatively, I'm willing to trade/barter some artwork for your project for some Unity / C# lessons.

I'm still in the concetping phase, but this is roughly the look and feel I'm going for:

Here's a gallery of some of my better pixel art, more or less in order chronologically to show my development (newest first): https://imgur.com/a/fWOdf

Here's some of my vector art (don't really do vector much these days):https://www.behance.net/Neight-Bit

I also spent the last 3+ years doing *all* of the art and product design for a physical board game, so I am willing and able (albeit slowly) to follow through and ship a project that has promise.  My partners and I just received the first physical copies of the game and are in the process of developing marketing materials and approaching publishers.  PM me for pics if you're interested in working with me (under informal / soft nda).

Anyway, let me know if you'd like to hash it out.

Hey. I'm a uni student currently studying game design and production management. I'm working on a dungeon crawler but also looking to flex my programming muscles a bit more again with an additional project. I've about three to four years of C# experience in Unity.

If you're interested, please drop me a private message here on the forum and we could exchange more direct contact details like Skype.

Hi neight-bit,

I think I'm in kind of a complementary position about you, the way you describe things. I'm a full-time job coder, with a job outside of videogames but everytime I can, I devote myself to code games.

I would say I'm very proficient about coding, and even though I love art aspects of gaming, I always tend to go about the technical challenges when making games. You can take a look at some my work on my website: http://www.chaotive.cl.

I see that the concepts you show are mainly 2D, and you were describing a platform style of game. It happens that what I focus my self mainly is to 2D, so I think we are good on that area. However, I like to keep things simple and stay away from bigger engines (for bigger teams), such as Unity, to extrictly required basis. I would like to go with something smaller, quick and dirty such as Phaser (https://phaser.io/). Of course, previous to deciding that we would need to talk about expectations and details. So... yeah... please reply to me if you are interested.

Best regards,
Chaotive
