I'm creating this thread to start a collection of these "recipes" how to make profit.

An example would be:
- buy a computer
- learn coding
- ?
- PROFIT!

Because I have seen some of these in other threads but would like to collect 'em all in this thread. Easy access, ye know?

With regards to gaming the first one is easy - people want games. Making them want your game is the tough part.

TRY THAT:
Instead of just doing a test to see if a fragment is below the depth sample,
- when below, compute the distance from the fragment to the depth sample
- use the distance as a weighted attenuation to the light intensity (possibly per material type)
- apply light intensity to the fragment.
- look at the object from behind relative to the light direction.
- ? ? ?
- PROFIT!
