Hi everyone.  We are making progress on our game Cosmotrons (https://www.facebook.com/CosmotronsGame/) and expect to release an early demo soon.  One thing I have been considering is getting some sort of release of liability typed up as well as an end user agreement.

How many of you here are using such documents?  How are you providing them to the users?  Is this really necessary?

I am just trying to cover all our bases and make sure we and our product is protected.

I am not a lawyer, but if you are releasing on Steam I'd say you don't need one, since the EULA of Valve already applies to the end user. You may need one if for instance you decide to host and sell it yourself.

Thanks for the thought. Makes sense.  I am assuming the SThttps://www.lawdepot.com/members/EAM one releases them from liability but not the seller per say.  I ended up using an online one for like $18:
