I'm certain there's an Asteroids clone where the ship stays centered and everything moves in relation to it with screen-wrap still in.

(This isn't in https://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=3504.1620;topicseen because I haven't actually seen this game; I'm assuming its existence)

Man that was such a great game. I remember there was a map with lots of maze-like fortresses, and you could stage massive battles of attrition over them.
