OMG. Yes, it could be hard to read at times, but I never really had a problem with it. Sorry, I just have this instant connection with anyone who even mentions UO; it's still my favorite game/MMO ever. EVER.

But I think you shouldn't go too far away from what you have now, if you do change it. I like the style of it - it seems to fit the MC and setting pretty well (from what I've seen).

damn this is good

i had a similar idea, but your execution is way better than anything i could've imagined. and that's only referring to the mechanics. the aesthetic is ace too.

Oh wow, this is a great concept - shades of Undertale in that it's adding an active element to otherwise-stale turn-based RPG concepts and being super cool as a result. Also the aesthetic is working for me.

thanks! for the time being, Hulking Idiot lowers movement speed occasionally (when the emoticon pops up). might play with it being a constant debuff.

it's probably tough because there's a risk of overcomplicating things or messing up the flow of battling. i think mario rpg+paper mario was a cool re-envisioning, especially with positioned/angled attacks which were underrated imo.
