Hi ! World 772 is a mix between a beat them all and a platform game where you can play with physic to get rid of enemies.



So, I haven't really work on the art for now, I have worked on the concept arts, but the time and places of the adventure are not set yet.

I have two types of enemies:
- A turret that automatically aim and shoot at the player, but cannot move.
- A mobile enemy that patrol, then chase the player before attacking him with a sword.

I want to add some powers to the mobile enemy, maybe a gun to shoot at distance or something like that.

I haven't properly worked on the art yet so, it's more a "technical" demo. Presently I'm working on a tutorial level so people can try the game.

Here are two important NPCs.
Their armor may change but they'll keep their faces.


The leader of the red army. Even if he often doubts himself, he is natural leader, that's why everyone follows him. I want him to be an ally for the player, maybe he will fight with us in some levels.



This young girl is the deadliest soldier of the red army. She's careless, presumptuous and childish but she gets the job done. Every recruit follow her because of her incredible talent for coming back alive from every mission. She usually fights with a gun in one of her mechanic arm and steel blades on her ennemy's corps. She then fights with a blade in each hand.

I really love these concepts, they both have so much character, I really love the strange secondary arms attached to the elbows of both characters. Might these be a part of the gameplay? Really looking forward to seeing you flesh the world out, I enjoy physics based puzzle games and you seem to be approaching it in a really unique way!

Yeah I'd like it to be part of the gameplay, but I'm not currently working on it. The idea is that the arms are basic AI, you can choose to equip them with a gun or a sword and give them basic orders. For example, you could set them so they attack only enemies in close combat, or to attack only enemies that attack from distance. If you keep the arms empty they can act like a shield and prevent some bullets to hurt you.

This will be cool but I don't know how I would implement it and if this is a cool feature^^ In any case NPCs we'll have this technology even if it's just for show =].

Here is the Ruler of the Blue army. I dont have a name for her yet but in the game we'll call here by her title: King Queen.
She fights with one blade in each hand and two more in her mechanical hands.
The color of her armor may change to this:

I added some art and he game looks like this now:

I changed a bit the colors since this screenshot, the sky is less... less this blue and more another kind of blue =).
I'm currently working on more illustrations of the NPCs and the main character.

I'm still working on the colours on this new level, I don't know if it works very well yet. I included randomness for the first time in the game! The little pieces of meteor fly in a random direction when the meteor crashes.
I may use some randomness again but I don't know where yet. I'm comfortable with the idea that every time you lunch a level it is the same, so you can try to master it.

Well I changed it, the pinkish cloth is blue now !
I'm working on the build 2.2, it should be available soon with some improvements:
- Better IA
- 2 more animations for the player
- A second tutorial to be sure the player get the controls
- A lot of little things like the size of texts or the main character's speed...

And presently I'm working on a Super gauge and on special attacks. I found the game was not that fun to play, I think it's because of the combat system. Destroying enemies by throwing objects on them is fun only if the basic combat system is already good. So I'm gonna work hard on that ! In the same time I'm introducing NPCs and a dialogue system in the game.

So I got 6 levels in the game now, I think I will stop at eight or nine then focus on the design. I introduce the "Super gauge" and the "Super skills" in the fifth level. I wonder if it's too late or not. It means level 5 is a tuto on how the super gauge works.
