Hello guys!
Is it a good idea nowadays to create an HTML5 game to earn some money?
I have an idea of a platformer, any chances to find a sponsor?

Thanks  Smiley

In my opinion, IO games (e.g. slither.io) are the fastest way to make money with HTML5. And obviously games such as Evony exist and are played by millions, however they're much bigger efforts. Also check out what FRVR is doing.

At the end of the day, earning money is platform agnostic. Hope that helps!

Recently made a few HTML5 games with a buddy to test the viability of the market. The prices publishers are willing to pay sound good until you factor in the effort of API implementation, tweaks for their specific site and the fact that most sites have a niche they are trying to fill. We found that the effort wasn't worth the payout for us. That said there are some wizards who make a living off of it, so my findings aren't end all.  Wizard

But, how much it was?
Did they offer at least $500 for non-exclusive license?
