Below you may witness what happens to a post that seems like spambot trash. Keep reading the replies if you want to know what's the deal with the title.

_________________________________________________________________________________

The website hosting service Cloudflare on which TIGSource is hosted on has had a huge leak of private user data.

The safest thing to do is to change ALL your passwords.

See the link above and follow the instructions if you are curious as to which websites are hosted on cloudflare, and some more information about the leak.

This is my bad. I misunderstood the fact that "tigsource.com" appeared when i used `grep` on the file I got from the "sites-using-cloudflare" list. Apparently, this does not mean that TIGSource is hosted on Cloudflare, but that it has some remote connection to Cloudflare. Like the title says, it's only a potential risk.

Still, these are pretty alarming news.

Also, I have no clue what happened to my post lol. Moderator edit?

Edit: thing I did in my terminal

But I'm not undoing my edit.

For real though, thanks for taking your time to try to warn random goofball strangers

I don't blame you, the original post looked pretty suspicious haha.

I do some lurking here and I think this community is really legit.

If you don't mind, I'll repost the most relevant link here: https://github.com/pirate/sites-using-cloudflare

It's someone who used some bash scripts to create the "sorted_unique_cf.txt" file you see in my above post, containing "all domains that use cloudflare DNS, not just the cloudflare SSL proxy (the affected service that leaked data)."

Anyone who wants to find out more can just google around.

you should have probably maybe told "change your password on this site" and not "follow this link to get the instructions"

wait, it does list Digital Ocean there, so Tigsource may be actually affected?

The problem is that the CloudFare cache has been leaking data for a lot of time. This means that any site that has gone through CloudFare is affected, and also potentially any site that interacted with those as well by proxy (by giving API keys or whatever, so assume Gmail and Facebook are indirectly affected too as a lot of places connect with them).

Given how much stuff is behind CloudFare... huuuuh consider every single thing on-line to be potentially at risk, just to be on the safe side. Gonna be fun having to go to every site out there to enter new passwords *sigh*
